This album started as a project for an 11-piece band arranged by Oliver Nelson and featuring Wayne Shorter, but four tunes were put on the shelf and Morgan went in six weeks later to cut four sides with a quintet that included Joe Henderson and McCoy Tyner. The original album contained the four quintet pieces, highlighted by the island groove of "Ca-Lee-So" and two pop ballads from the Nelson date. Added to the original album for this CD are the four shelved Oliver Nelson-arranged tunes.
