London-based Australian multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Jordan Rakei has released his spirited new version of “Wind Parade,” a track that originally appeared on trumpeter Donald Byrd’s 1975 R&B fusion classic Places and Spaces. The song is the seventh single to be released from Blue Note Re:imagined, a forthcoming collection of classic Blue Note tracks re-imagined by a selection of the UK scene’s most exciting young talents. Rakei has honed his soulful, jazz and hip-hop driven sound over the release of three albums and garnered attention for his collaborations with the likes of Lianne La Havas, Jorja Smith, Loyle Carner, and Disclosure.
